THE WAY I SEE IT . . .

It feels as if Jimmy Carter is back or something. Our circumstances don’t seem too bad but you think your neighbor might not be doing so well so you think everything is going to hell in a hand basket. Is it bad for you? Is everything going bad everywhere?

I don’t think so. I still think America is great. I see promise not doom and gloom. Sure, I could watch the news and see what Wolf Blitzer thinks but he is getting paid to tell you the world sucks unless you vote for Hillary or B. Hussein Obama.

I don’t care what they say. This is the country that has Chuck Yeager. That has to be good!

We are heading into an election that doesn’t look too promising at best.

An imagination can save a kid still today. If a kid can imagine it then the kid needs to be encouraged to go do it! If you can think it, you can do it. It cannot be done behind the controls of a Playstation though.

Kids need the drive to go farther, faster, stronger and better. If they think “it don’t matter” it simply won’t.

Sure call me what you like. Dreams make the world a better place. Pessimism makes losers feel better, look how pessimism makes a dreamer look when the dream is realized though. That’s right, it looks amazing for the dreamer to win or achieve because everyone else thought it couldn’t be done.

Schools spend so much time these days telling kids what they can’t do. I don’t mean to say make them all starry eyed fools that think they can breathe water but teach them the importance of imagining something and working toward a goal or dream. If they don’t accomplish the big dream there are things along the way that can be pretty satisfying.

I saw most of the old movie “The Right Stuff” this morning and I just got a little carried away. Astronauts got me through my school years and beyond. Flight and flying have kept me enthusiastic and upbeat about accomplishing just about anything.

Isn’t there something out there that grabs the imagination anymore? I bet there is.

Welcome to 2008!

2007 was a pretty good year and this one is lined up to be special indeed!

We are past the Iowa Caucuses, and what do you know? We have B. Hussein Obama out in front from the Dems!

Mike Huckabee is the frontrunner for the Republicans. Huckabee does nothing for me. The only one in the race that interests me is Fred Thompson. McCain, Hilary and Giuliani are for the same thing.

The tax plan Huckabee wants to throw at us would increase the price of EVERYTHING you buy 23 percent the next day!

The “Change Train” has left the station. B. Hussein Obama and Hillary are the engineers of change this time around. If you voted for Democrats in 2006 get ready for this go round. First thing Obama wanted to do was attack Pakistan and pull out of Iraq. Isn’t that neat? A liberal that understands that any attacks by Democrats are okay. Any war started by a Republican is wrong. Psst-Vietnam was wholly owned by Democrats, Nixon ended it!

I have settled in down here in the area of the Big Easy. Life is pretty good. Always looking but going pretty fair so far.

What are you all thinking out there? Are you ready for another leftist President? Is it time to open the borders and for America to surrender in Iraq? I only mentioned Iraq because we all know that the troops in Bosnia were sent there by Bill Clinton and that makes that one ok, right? If we surrender in Iraq we will need to bring all troops from all over the world because of the attacks that would soon follow from our friends from the “Religion of Peace”!

The largest tax increase in American history is on its way to taxpayers near you!

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that voted “for change” for the opportunity to waste more of my money by handing it to a bloated federal government. If the money was to go to the war effort then I would have no problem, but NO this is going to non-emergency “entitlement” spending.

How many of you have your panties in a wad over the firing of the eight U. S. Attorneys? Did you know that they come and go with much regularity and that firing them and replacing them is a regular occurrence?

Iran has taken British Marines in captivity and violated the Geneva Conventions. Oh wait, as part of the mandate of last November only we have to follow Geneva Conventions not A SINGLE ONE OF OUR ENEMIES right?

Folks, the “I told ya so’s” are far too easy at this point. I hope the tax increases and the proposed surrender in Iraq are what you hoped for. I would go back should I be called upon to do so but for the most part those that have not served need not fear combat in Iraq. It is quite simple. Have you heard that the surge has worked well enough in the early stages that people are coming back to Baghdad and actually having street carnivals celebrating the fact? My guess is no but it is true nonetheless.

Obama and Mrs. Bill Clinton have having a little tiff out there, which one are you going to vote for? I think I will wait for a candidate I like to enter the fray. I am hoping to see Senator Fred Thompson jump in. He distinguished himself in the Senate from Tennessee as a solid conservative. Newt Gingrich would be my first choice but Newt is a bit of an academic and not a great people person.

I hope the time for America hating is nearly passed. We need people to come together and not for the purpose of strengthening welfare!

America is the land of opportunity and she is good to all comers, legal and illegal. The illegals are driving healthcare costs artificially high but “compassion” is driving the free care for illegals to which YOU are not entitled.

Something has to change folks. The CHANGE that you got “ain’t” quite what most of you bargained for. You are going to pay higher taxes and you will see more programs for illegals, folks that didn’t follow the rules. Do you tell your kids that you support some foreigner breaking the law but insist that your children follow it to the letter? Seems wrong somehow doesn’t it?

I went to breakfast this morning as the little one’s school and I saw the future. I had breakfast at Cypress Cove Elementary School. A great school with a great staff teaching kids well. Property tax is paying of r that and I am actually getting my moneys worth for once.

Are you getting what you are paying for?

    The Presidential race is off!

    Do you have a favorite?  I don't, not yet. I am
waiting for a conservative to enter the race.

    McCain lost his mind 2000, Giuliani isn't what I
have in mind.  Romney? Not ready for a shape shifter.
Newt Gingrich would be my pick put I don't feel like
getting into this crap just yet.

    Today is my day off, I slapped in some old Steely
Dan and thought of Ft. Lauderdale FL.  I went there a
long time ago on my first plane ride.  I remember
riding around in a rental listing to the “pop” music
of the day.  Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, you know, the
late 70's.  The Hotel across the street from where we
stayed was a “disco”  The music was very loud at
night.  That was the first time I saw helicopters with
spot lights looking for folks on the ground.  They
would fly along the canals at night.  Pretty wild.

    Anyway, the race for the White House hasn't
grabbed me yet.  Do you have a favorite?  Is Hillary
the one?  How about Osama Obama?  Excuse the Ted
Kennedy quote there.

    The sun is breaking through here and it is
looking good only about 65 right now but should hit
the high 70's in our winter wonderland!

    The little one “can't wait til April” so she can
swim everyday after school.

    So, sorry for the scatter-brained piece today but
I am just not feeling the political thing today.

   I hope all is going well across these United
States wherever else  this my end up.

   How about the stock market huh?  Barnanke says all
is well, he is right.  There were some folks that
started with some tight margins Monday and made a ton
of money selling off some over priced, over inflated
stock.  A little profit taking, from time to time, is
not so bad.

    I hope you got yours and all is well out there.

Climate change is all the buzz these days. Do you buy it?

Is global warming, as stated by the wacko groups, really the threat that it is being hyped up to be?

Is global warming causing ice storms in Texas this year? Is it causing record cold spells throughout the country and the world.

There is a region in france that is hoping for an increase in climate. Their thinking is that their wine grapes will be far better withy a warmer climate. Liberalism is chock full of crisis. These folks like to think that everything they do not understand is a terrible crisis.

I believe that even if the climate is on the climb man has either to adapt or face extinction.

The fate of the planet is not likely to be in my hands. I firmly believe that should my maker see the need to end the Earth then that is beyond my control.

This makes me want to delve deeper into what makes liberalism so insane, so silly. I do not hate the world around me. I do not despise the amount of money a CEO can make should said CEO lead an organization to highly profitable times. I do not hold a grudge against millionaires, in fact, I look at them and try to figure out and angle. An angle by which I can “gets mines”.

Seriously, I don't get why money is hated by the libs. The “poster-child” libs all have plenty and they are loved and adored. I guess they are the leaders and they deserve to be loaded but everyone else must live poor. They have one hell of a public relations firm because no one seems to notice that the ones whining the loudest about money to executives are often worth as much or more than the exec!

I know that there are those out there that experience great jealousy when talking about the wealthy. Why be jealous? Do you begrudge folks the right to earn weath? Do you believe that you earn what you make? Do you believe that you contribute to the world around you? If you do then why would you begrudge someone else their compensation for the degree to which another contributes. Do you judge others to be less worthy based on the job they do to get paid?

I believe that all of the hand-wringing and jealousy is ginned up by lib politicos and the willing media to keep the poor needy to the government rather than promote self-reliance and self-sufficiency.

I hope there is no jealousy of wealth in this crowd. I hope that each of you has what you want and live as you choose. If not, what would you like to do? If you can imagine what you would like to do, what is stopping you?

Move to Venezuela if you want the government to
guarantee you a “way of life”.

Hugo Chavez is proclaiming himself the ruler by
decree of Venezuela! Thats right, health care for
all, work camps, gulags the whole shebang! The place
to be if you are a leftist idealist and do not want to
make a way for yourself. Pacify the weak Hugo, they
will praise you forever!

Thank God it “ain't” quite that easy to do here
or it would have been done already. Catchy phrases
run day in and day out in the New York Times and
spouted off by Anderson Cooper and Judy Woodruff get
used in elections swaying the masses. It still
doesn't work on everyone.

I am making my own way. I do not want the
government handing me anything. Nothing comes without
strings from the all caring federal establishment.
You get “free” health care they get to tell you when,
where and how you will be treated.

I can see how happy lefties would be in Venezuela
now, Hugo is going to tax second homes, he will tax
the second or third cars and high incomes
significantly. Hilary, go serve Hugo, leave us alone!
Take the rest of your pack with you, introduce those
people to your Utopian Socialist State. Your thinking
and that of King Hugo I is nearly the same. Your
hatred for President Bush is identical.

As a matter of fact, in the segment on this
mornings news, the people of Venezuela claim that all
of their hopes and dreams are in Hugo Chavez. He has
a million man army marching through the streets with
imaginary rifles preparing for an invasion from Los
Estados Unidos! (The United States for those of you
that don't habla).

So there you have it. CITGO will be owned by a
Socialist Dictator! Will that be enough for the Navy
Exchange to drop them as their supplier?

War Weary my ass!

I did a search on Yahoo for “War Weary America” and guess what I found out? There are supposedly many Americans that are “weary” of the war. To this I say TOUGH! As heard on the EIB Network, I also say GROW UP, the only people that know what war weary means are the people that have been there or their families. I do not have one ounce of sympathy for a person who is “weary” from watching the war on TV.

Folks, this is crap. The military folks in this fight are asking to fight. They are they because they want to be. They did not ask to go to Iraq but they said I will do this for my country, for what ever reason. People are doing it, they are volunteering to do the job!

Warriors can be war weary, their families can be war weary but the folks watching Katie Couric that have no chip in the game CANNOT BE WAR WEARY! These same people put the Democrats in office with the intention of de-funding the war and leaving our troops hanging! Cut and run America, we are going to leave before a victory is achieved if those of you that are “War Weary” get what you want.

America IS becoming a weak nation. There is no recorded history showing surrender as a victory. Surrender tells your opponent that you don't ave the heart to fight them and they will come to our shores!

The President may be the most hated man in America but he is the only person inside the Capital Beltway that appears to have the balls to fight an enemy that truly wants to destroy us completely!

Have you heard about the newest stem cell source?
Amniotic fluid is the latest find as a stem cell
source.

It does not require the destruction of an embryo
and does not harm the mother. So the Democrats are
already against it.

If you watch the evening news you likely won't
hear about this as Senator Tom Harkin has already put
the word out to the press that they should not break
such stories so close to a Senate debate on stem cell
research. Of course not Senator, we should only
pursue those stories that show the necessity for death
or destruction.

The Democrats are so tied to abortion that they
have to support the destruction of life, except for
convicted murderers, rapists and serial child
molesters, they deserve to live after all.

Social Security will soon get a look from the new
Democrat controlled Congress, yeah, they will fix it
by taking more money from you per Steny Hoyer on Fox
News Sunday this past weekend. They will raise the
level of income to be able to take more from the top.
That will make all of you “tax the rich”ers happy huh?

The New York Times ran an editorial in which the
author cleverly took BOTH sides on the war in Iraq.
The author advocates for pulling out all of the troops
as soon as possible AND maintaining security and
seeing to it that there is a stable government. Just
how, exactly, does one do that? When you pull the
military out yo pretty effectively remove the ability
to DO anything. If Iraq's politicians are as
effective as ours then NOTHIING will happen over there
except more Muslims killing one another.

Democrats will be Democrats that means WATCH YOUR
WALLET! Meanwhile, I have to think fast, I have an
opportunity coming up to improve my lot in life so I
am researching banking in THE CAYMAN ISLANDS!

The year in review

Wow! 2006 is nearly a bit on the ash pile of
history.

When this year started I was living in frozen
Western Washington. Driving on icy highways to and
from work 80 miles a day. Now I am driving about a
mile both ways.

I have changed everything this year. I no longer
have my little Porsche, I live in America's little
banana republic, Louisiana. “Not the South of North
America but the North of South America.”

My previous employer was rather strict on “sick
days”, I actually am accruing sick time with this
employer. There are interesting prospects on the
horizon as well.

Personally, things are going pretty well. I
took a dramatic pay cut to retire but things are
looking pretty good here. I don't know anyone that is
NOT doing well anymore. This is by far not an
affluent part of the country but most folks here
realize they have to make do with what they have and
not rely on “big brother” for a handout.

I am firmly embedded in the middle-class and damn
happy about it. I wish I could have kept the tax cuts
but for some reason they weren't meant to be, folks
decided to vote them down this past November. C'est
la vie! I make less money now so i will obviously pay
less in federal income tax.

Craw fish are coming into season and the weather
here is a bone chilling 65 degrees today BRRRRRRRR!

New Years 2007, looks interesting. I hope to
make a fortune and live happily ever after, me my
family and a tax shelter here and there should that
fortune come our way! #$@& the federal income tax!

For 2007 I wish each of you all of the best of
life and prosperity in all your pursuits!

The Iraq Study Group has reached it's conclusion. We should pull out and turn Iraq over to the guardians of peace in the region, Iran and Syria.

You guessed it folks surrender.

Surprised? I voted for Lee Hamilton once when I was an Indiana resident. Twenty plus years later I still regret that move. Had he been unseated then perhaps he would have lacked the credence to lend his name to the “Blame
Bush for 9/11 commission and the Iraq Study Group.

James Baker III has washed his credibility as far as I am concerned. He sucked up to America's enemies and now he is bowing down before Iran and Syria pulling for a “redeployment” of American forces.

Thank GOD in Heaven that President Bush actually has the fortitude NOT to surrender as nearly every has signaled we should do!

I am recalling helicopters pulling people out of Saigon.

I suppose that America simply can't stomach a war. Surrender is becoming the theme and that worries me. My children will grow in a world where teachers will extol the virtues of failure and quitting instead of standing up to bullies and thugs!

If WE fail in the War on Terror we will surely fall from glory as a nation. The world expects us to bow down and so we shall if Congress and the Iraq Study Group have their way.

Please privately pray for President Bush, for he has “popular opinion” against him in a dire time for freedom. There are many that cannot handle the “death toll” on the Evening News and believe it should all end.

I pray that the President does not surrender as the Democrats and “The American People” have asked for.

The venerable 9/11 commission's numero uno recommendation (substitute: demand) was that Congress reform and become more open to scrutiny. The Democrats ran against President Bush in 2004 with vigor claiming they would “take the 9/11 commission report literally should they be “installed”.

I am nearly gleeful to report that they have decided NOT to do what they said they would do and follow the report literally. Surprised? Seeker, er um I mean Speaker-to-be Pelosi will not be asked about this as she is a media darling so you heard it hear first, maybe second or third but you heard it here!

I learned today just why the UN will not do anything about the killing in Darfor Sudan. The killers are Arabs. Their hands are tied, they cannot anger the Arabs. They would get involved if the killing could somehow be linked to Israel or the United States but not the peace-loving Arabs. The people of The Sudan have likely angered the peace-loving Arabs and therefore, not unlike the United States, must be made to atone for their misdeeds. Let the mass killing continue unfettered, it is obviously Allah's wish.

Oh yes, for all of you out there that were hoping I was wrong about the Dems and taxes? I wasn't, they have a plan that is called a tax cut. In the Washington Times today a story runs with the headline, “Democrats to offer permanent tax cut”, you should read the piece. It will be a deduction on your annual “gift” to the IRS. Of course it won't be on the 2006 return or any other actually because they have to be able to make it happen before they assume power. As Rush noted today, this will most certainly spark a rise in tuition cost as the libs run the major schools! You will get a ten percent increase in tuition and will be able to deduct a portion of that already astronomical cost from an astronomical tax bill, yippee. This must have been a concession from Charlie Rangel who has stated very publicly that he will not let a single one of the Bush tax cuts stand.

Now for the entertainment news! Eric Clapton has teamed up with longtime singer/songwriter J. J. Cale for an album entitled “The road to Escondido”. I believe that I read it was a place in Mexico but if it was the one in San Diego County I would prefer not taking that road. The “5” Northbound to Escondido CA is more like a parking lot than a highway but the trip would be long enough to hear a full-length album! Any who, good music on that one, I listened to the preview on J. J.'s website, I have teens, can't afford a CD.

Turning of a new leaf!

With all of the bad news in the world it is time to lighten it up!

Britney and K-Fed are history and the prenup will keep BS's fortune intact so momma can spend it in Louisiana (good for the local economy, the only folks with that kind of money here are in organized crime. Time to spread it around and bring up those less fortunate.)

VH1 Classic actually plays videos in the morning. Remember when Music Television played music? It is pretty cool, they run some classics from the likes of Genesis, Pat Benetar and Styx.

Forgive me for not being up to speed on the Oscar chase but I will have to dedicate more time to Hollywood in the near future or risk irrelevance. I have noticed that just a couple of weeks ago all things Hollywood started being rosey and red again what with the booming economy that started on the first Tuesday of this month. What a phenomenon huh?

This issue is just a tease, more entertainment news will be coming in the near future, I just need to do more homework on the topic. I am planning a mini-biography of Barbara Walters and Katie Couric along with the other greats of the industry! Folks it will be stunning!

I would like to see a grass-roots campaign kick off to get a lot less coverage of that “situation” in Afghanistan(sp?) and the illegal war in Iraq on the networks. There is just too much bad news.

The world just needs to relax and watch more TV and celebrate living legends like Barbra Streisand!

Introspection time.

I am likely to lay low for a while as I undergo some philosophical changes. I need to come to grips with the concept that self-reliance is NOT really the answer.

I supported George W. Bush in the past two elections and all that has happened is people have become unhappy and have told me how wrong I was to steadfastly support the War on Terrorism and Bush's illegal war in Iraq.

Perhaps it is time to reconcile with what I have long thought was the wrong way and try to understand that philosophy.

I have decided that while I may never fully understand moderates I should try to be one because it is obviously the “will of the people” that moderation and cooperation take the place of partisanship.

I will research great moderates in history and read what they read, understand the great moderate revolutionaries that obviously have guided America without my notice for so many years.

I admit freely that my old philosophy was of a libertarian bent but now I freely admit that being a conservative is just not popular anymore and I no longer wish to be thought of as someone who judges the motives of others. Perhaps people should just live as they choose and let the chips fall where they may?

The time has come for me to close for now. Perhaps the future will show me the errors of my ways and cause me to rethink my was of the past.

Congratulations to the Democrats and everyone that wants to raise taxes, surrender to Islam and put small business out of business.

You deserve your collective moment in the sun. I say collective because you are going to ideas that came right from the Communist Manifesto in the coming year.

Raise the minimum wage. Great, small business will have to cut their staffs since government doesn't pay them to hire YOU. Many will not be able to support a major increase but it is the will of the people!

Iraq? Let's start sending the troop transports there now. Bring 'em home. Surrender is the word of the day, Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry have not the stomach to be at odds with Islam. They will “open a dialog” much like the one in Paris before leaving Vietnam! Remember that stunning negotiation?

The conservatives did not get together and act conservative so the left had their day yesterday. I hope those of you that supported this revolution work for a large corporation and live in subsidized housing because Dems want to see you live close to the big cities, this will shorten commutes and slow global warming.

Rumsfeld resigned today, the first head has come off. Pelosi and friends will be looking for more, the first one was easy enough let's get some!

I hope everyone gets just what they want because if you make enough money to actually pay federal income tax you bill is going to GO UP NEXT YEAR! You will lose the tax cuts of the last five years and there will likely be a raise in taxes!

Charles Rangel has not seen a tax cut “he would keep”! He is sure to be the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee and he will control the purse strings. For those that don't know this the House of Representatives controls federal monies!

High times for the liberals today, yuk it up, but watch you tax bill go up and watch for the cavalcade of new entitlements! But they will not tell you where the money will come from I WILL!

I am officially retired from the Navy.
Originally, to mark the occasion, I was going to write
this long summary of the years gone past but I just
thought up something else.

I am watching a video of the Blue Angels. There
was an occasion in 1988 that I was recommended to the
Blue Angels for selection as a communicator with their
traveling staff.

I hear reports about the “poor folks in the War
on Terror”, I understand what THEY are feeling. They
want to win. They signed up to DO THAT! They do feel
the same pride I do. They want very much to defeat
the enemy and come home but make no mistake, they
want it to end WHEN they defeat the enemy not before.

I heard a lady at work today asking someone with
her “how do those people do it aver there?” The other
lady said that she didn't know but she had a relative
over there that just signed up to go back. Yep, that
will do it, I thought to myself and walked by and
didn't say a word.

My time in the Navy was amazing.
I met the best and worst of people. Depending on the
situation, they were one and the same.

I feel an immense swelling of pride when the flag
goes by and people still stand and take off their hat.
I get very embarrassed when someone makes a big deal
out of my “status”. I am confident that America has
what she needs in her fighting forces. There are
people that still “believe” in America. That allows
many others the freedom NOT TO!

I served 21 years, two months and so many days.
I loved mostly every minute of it. I am the Navy. I
always will be. Wanda says I bleed Blue and Gold. I
have been called Joe Navy. I always received that as
a compliment. I love the Navy and we have a great
one! It has been my highest honor to serve! I am
among the workforce now and it is going well.

I am never to sail in Naval vessels again but be
sure and know this, I KNOW there will come a day when
I will surely long for the smell of the sea and the
sounds of life at sea. I am a Sailor and always will
be.

I will always look fondly back at those days when
a sailor asked. “hey Chief, how do you do that?

I stand relieved.

It's election season and you know what that means. Yep, you get to choose who will go to DC and your state house.

France has an income tax that takes 48.4 percent of one's income. That is classic socialism. They have a national health care system and they have many other “government” funded systems. All failures.

If you want to live like the French MOVE TO FRANCE!

Frankly I am sick of hearing how lousy America is because of the conditions of the poor. America has “poor” people that have Cadillac Escalades and four TVs strewn throughout their “publicly funded home”.

Public funding of ANYTHING means YOU are paying for it. The government does not produce anything. They take YOUR money to survive. They gladly hand it over to those that WILL not work as hard as you to get that money from you!

The bleeding hearts would have you believe that you need to pay more to the government in taxes. You are but not in income taxes. The revenue to the government since the tax cuts has caused record income. So much so that federal deficit has actually been cut in half! FACT!

I believe the federal government needs to dole out bucks for education but cut the strings and let that cash to go to local school boards not NEA hacks that pay pedophile teachers to lay-low!

The War on Terror is another issue this year. Your way of life is at stake, if you believe that the war is wrong you are simply wrong. The people fighting this war for the United States asked for that honor. They ALL volunteered. Ask them! Not the candy-asses that went over the hill and dishonored themselves and their families but the ones that put on the uniform everyday and salute the flag at morning colors because it is their chance to serve the nation they love! I have worn those boots, I know that there is a cost. It is worth it to avoid living under Islamic law!

Cut and run Democrats and Republicans would surrender to the UN or some other illegitimate body to buy a moment of peace just before we are overrun by Islamic wack jobs or some other group that wants our way of life to go away!

Vote but vote informed for there is much at stake.

Is there so much apathy that America is ready to surrender to appease the barbarians and live under their way? The only catch is that when “they” arrive to take over, the first order of business will be to kill ALL infidels which includes YOU!

Islamo-Fascist fanatics attacked America five years ago today.

The World Trade Center towers once stood in New York City as a symbol of American success.

There are many versions of what happened five years ago today. There are conspiracy theories; there are those that choose to ignore any of what happened on September 11 2001.

Life in this country changed forever. There are new inconveniences', there are new rules that govern travel.

America was enjoying her prosperity and relative calm. She saw many a bright sunny day before and has seen many since but they are not the same as before. Somehow, it is different. It is different still for others that refuse to look at the enemy and see it for what is. Instead, we are to be the enemy, our own nation is the enemy. That nation that actually has the freedom to allow citizens to stand and say such ridiculous things is the enemy.

We are free to believe that we are evil and not the Islamo-Fascists. After all, since 9/11 we have seen people calling the enemy "freedom fighters" and calling for the enemy's fair treatment.

I have not lost sight of the enemy. The enemy is not the good people of America that discover and devise the means by which the people of the Earth live each day. The enemy IS those who would appease Islamo-Fascists and give into their demands.

There has been a sense of purpose in previous World Wars. Why is this one different? Is it because many are not drawn to serve in the struggle? Is it because the struggle is unjust? I think it is the fact that the enemy has been so far away these past five years and not on our doorstep.

Perhaps an attack of greater magnitude is required to "rally" support among the people.

Whom do you see as the enemy? Should we be appeasing and converting to Islam as these lunatics require? Would you? Could you? Is it the President's fault that they hate us?

I know who the enemy is. It is those that wish to see a submissive America, one that bows to cowards killing children in the name of religion. Those that kill innocents for promises of perversion after death.

9/11 changed me as well. I am thinking about those changes today. America must be strong. Her people must have the stomach to survive or the enemy will have its way. I do not wish to live in such a world as the ninth century Middle East!

I hope that you can reach back to the point of supporting America and not give aid and comfort to America's enemies. Few things are more important to our survival than this.

MSNBC is having an all-day love in for the Democrats. If you want to see what is wrong with journalism today, tune in!

I am a conservative Republican and I am ready to debate any Democrat anytime. First point, wiretaps. So you disagree that the job of the United States Government is to seek and find the enemies of our country. You disagree that America should fight our enemies with extreme prejudice and win. Will you stipulate that the detainees at Guantanamo are not uniformed, State combatants?

Their platform is essentially the defeat of America and our submission to the will of a bunch of rag-tag fanatic kooks hell-bent on our destruction.

I cannot wait to see the campaign ads on how the evil Bush Administration has captured or killed top al-Qaeda leaders using illegal wiretaps and intelligence collection techniques.

Go ahead Democrats; run on the defeat of your own nation. Sympathize with the enemy all you like. Rally your representatives in the House to make slanderous remarks about Marines that had yet to have the benefit of their right to trial!

I want to meet the people that are with the ACLU and support the free exchange of ideas to and from al-Qaeda terrorists unfettered by the NSA!

If you support the ACLU and the Democrats in their demonic desire to see America fall, leave this nation now. I want mom and pop in Middle America to see your faces. I want you exposed for your core belief that America is the enemy of the world and should fall to defeat. Next, I would like to be standing in the room as you bow down to you Islamo-Fascist idols as they CUT OFF YOU WORTHLESS HEAD! That is what Islamo whack jobs want, they want ALL Westerners dead idiot, and they want us wiped off the planet so they can return to the ninth century!

What a week in Washington DC

Steve Centanni came face to face with the religion of peace. He converted to Islam at gunpoint by his captors.

I am certain that many an honest convert comes by those means.

Richard Armitage has not been called on to kill himself nor has the press declared him a traitor for "outing" Valerie Plame. There has been no mention of the apologies due Mr. Rove or Mr. Libby since the finding that they did not do anything wrong based on the Special Prosecutors charter.

Read the New York Times, watch CNN you'll be believers of their trash if you can stomach twenty minutes of their pap!

When the press thought they had their hooks in Karl Rove, they called him a traitor, a most heinous traitor for outing a not-so-covert employee of the CIA. Now there is nary a word covering the real "culprit". If it is not Rove then we do not care. That is how it is out there now. If you read this and defend CNN, you wanted to see Rove go down just as bad as they did! Wolf Blitzer was nearly in tears when Armitage admitted to the "leak".

Lefties will go down with the ship eventually. They are going nearly blind with rage and hatred for President Bush. It drives them, consumes them. They do not seem to realize that there is a world out there that has nothing to do with Washington politics. There is a world out there that does not live or die by making the President look bad. I could not stand Bill Clinton but he was Commander-in-Chief. He made himself look terrible and got away with blaming everyone else for him being a scumbag!

Therefore, this week has seen a conversion to Islam by a Western reporter and Karl Rove has more time to spend with his weather machine cooking up storms for the Gulf of Mexico.

Turn CNN back on, go listen to Katie or one of the other numb-skulled whack-jobs on the "Nightly News", enjoy, it's free and you get exactly what you paid for!

Katrina.

That name evokes emotion with people today.

It conjures up memories of politicians breaking their necks to get money flowing to their states. It flashes images of poor people sitting huddled in the Superdome in New Orleans. It makes us remember how the national press had been duped into printing falsehoods about rapes and suicides in the Superdome.

Mississippi lost a great deal of her history when Katrina came ashore. Fortunately, many folks evacuated the MS gulf coast.

New Orleans has the mentality that it will pass so pass me another drink. They had dodged so many bullets up to Katrina that they thought they were off the hook again.

The entitlement mentality also has a strong foothold on New Orleans. The folks down there seem to have forgotten all of the people and property lost and destroyed during the myriad of storms that have hit Florida. I suppose there was not enough poverty to cover there, no real tearjerker in Florida.

Not all of Florida is Boca Raton! Granted, not all of New Orleans is the Garden District either but the whining in New Orleans never seems to stop. Ray C. Nagin, Mayor of New Orleans, calls everyone else out when playing the blame game but he gets a pass when the bill comes due. His city left ALL of the 500 busses required to evacuate folks locked up below sea level!

Sure, he ordered a full evacuation, mere hours before the storm made landfall! Yippee! Nagin is to blame for the loss of life that did occur. President Bush runs the national government, where is the responsibility of the city and the state? Governor Bush of Florida does not play during hurricanes he is out there telling folks to get out and come back after the storm. Blanco and Nagin patted one another on the back until they nearly broke their arms and in the end when the truth hit the street they pointed at each other! Then collectively they pointed at the President, as good Democrats would.

The one-year anniversary of Katrina means that I am watching a period of growth in Slidell, LA. It means our neighbor to the South is still the Big Easy and the people there are still looking for their handouts!

If you feel your pocket, moving around it is the congress stealing more of your money to send to the whiners in New Orleans!

Ernesto will likely give New Orleans a pass, too bad they could get more money out of Congress if they cried even louder!

Beautiful Slidell Louisiana, here we are in the southland.

This is one of those places where instead of sun breaks you occasionally wish for a break from the sun.

I am biding my time on leave until my final retirement date from the Navy. After twenty-one years in the U. S. Navy, I can quote my five year-old, “good times”.

Arriving in Slidell has been great. The people never forget you, they are just as friendly when you do not know them but the conversation lasts longer if you know each other. This area is bouncing back in a big way! I walked into a shop to buy a printer cable and VOILA I walk out with a job application. Nice way to start a computer repair at home. I had the app before the receipt!

There is also something to be said for centipede grass, that stuff never gets too tall but it will take over a sidewalk just to let you know it is time to cut the grass.

Politically, this state is seeing clearly now after the rain. The State Legislature is bashing the Governor for not getting rid of pork, the gun banners have all run back to Washington and the North East. They have discovered that EVERYONE here wants the Second Amendment in tact before, during and after a natural disaster now!

Business is thriving here! There is a “NOW HIRING” sign in front of every single business in the area.

If you are tired of the grey days in the North West Y’all come down here, we’re friendly and we will make sure you have a good time.

It is refreshing to see New Orleans newscasts after watching Seattle TV. These folks aren’t putting up with excuses. An interview usually ends with some politician quite embarrassed but answering the questions. This is fair warning for all of the lefty-do-gooders out there, stay the hell out of here! We don’t want hand-outs, we don’t want a freebie, let us get on with it and we will be fine!

God has blessed the South!

ILLEGALS AND YOU!

Immigration finally has arrived as a serious
topic.

You can tell people are serious when they get
scared. The illegal migrants/immigrants/aliens are
scared now. They have a lousy PR firm doing their
headlining though. When you are illegal and
protesting first off, no one needs to listen to you.
Second, waving the Mexican flag bitching about working
in the U. S. tells me you would much rather go home.
My personal preference in tax expenditures is DOD and
NASA. Perhaps now I could be persuaded to kick a
little to the current immigration and customs folks?

Speeches aimed at attention getting that tell
Americans the aim of their campaign is for Mexico to
take back the Western U. S. should raise some
eyebrows.

Congress is downright nervous now; they are going
to have to vote on this issue soon. They are having
especially weighty deliberations regarding the
Hispanic/Latino vote to come in November.

I’ll bet that legitimate Americans opinions
aren’t even on the table. The DEMS want the new
voting block of hopeful illegal aliens.

Republicans likely just want to survive an
election without getting pummeled.

The mantra spewing forth right now is the same
old thing, “Americans won’t do these jobs.” That is
crap, should I need money to feed the family I could
be persuaded to just about anything! I think there is
a La Raza lawyer out there talking it up to keep the
talking points alive.

When one makes a trip to the Emergency Room one
pays very high costs. Ever wonder why? Aside from
the astronomical mal-practice insurance rates, we are
paying dearly for illegal aliens that are playing the
healthcare system. They KNOW that they can’t be
turned away. Their “Public Assistance” doesn’t cover
a regular office visit so they head to the ER for a
headache and get the goods “fo free”.

Our schools are sucking it up, they are crowded
and ineffective. They are teaching dual languages.
Why? America is one of a very few countries that
tolerates other languages. We waist great heaps of
cast printing public paper works in languages just
short of Aramaic!

Is there still an American dream? Are Americans
still dreaming it? I am!

   John Murtha of Pennsylvania stirred up a lively
session in the House of Representatives this week by
suggesting that we pull all troops out of Iraq
immediately.

   Duncan Hunter, of California,  decided to make
Murtha put his money where his mouth is and wrote a
resolution directing the immediate pullout of troops
from Iraq.

   The show that played out on the floor of the
House was exciting to say the least.  Nancy Pelosi
found herself in an odd position of  defending the
troops?

   Nancy Pelosi was called out on the referendum
recently passed in San Francisco that banned military
recruiters from schools.  By the way, they also banned
ALL hand guns in that city.

   All of the drama that played out really centered
around grandstanding and providing cover for
supporting the war.  I am certain that Pelosi dreamt
up a coupe in that Murtha would appear to be
“suddenly” against the war and pull “See?”  we told ya
so!

   They in no way expected to be called to vote on
their little stunt.  The Republicans finally showed a
little backbone and made the Democrats finally
put-up-or-shut-up!

   Success in Iraq is happening.  The Democrats
cannot break from the bonds of their anti-America,
anti-war past.  They cannot continue claiming that we
are losing when the people of Jordan rise up and
protest against Zarqawi and his ilk.

   They see precious little time left to snatch
defeat from the jaws of victory!

   It seems apparent that the left has one goal and
that is to turn the American people against George
Bush and the war on terror.

   I don’t care what people think of George Bush
personally but he is the President and it his funny
how the cruise missile attacks of the Clinton era were
the “answer” but actually going after someone such as
bin Laden was off the table? We were told time after
time how great Clinton was for wasting ten cruise
missiles on the eves of his most embarrassing moments.

   The CIA had several instances where bin Laden was
in the crosshairs and Clinton and his bunch pulled the
plug!

   Bush is doing the dirty work and he has an ALL
VOLUNTEER FORCE pursuing the nation’s enemies!

   If you can’t stomach all of the horrible news in
the evening news then turn off the damn TV and find
something else to do, there are people out there that
do these things and simply making you queasy is
actually no concern of theirs.

USS IOWA = RAINBOW WARRIOR?

The USS Iowa is the subject of a strange proposal.

Originally, the ship was to be moored on the Embarcadero in San Francisco with other ships of historical significance.

The city council rejected that plan because they did not want to send a pro war signal to the world after all it was still San Francisco right?

Back to the story. A second proposal has come about to place the ship in the bay to serve as a museum to minorities. You know the usual suspects, ethnic minorities, women and gays. Gays? Oh yes, it is to depict how all minorities have had to overcome hardship to serve in the military and the final display will be how the struggle goes on with the quest for equality. Gays are being stifled by not being allowed to serve openly gay.

Let’s see, in World War II Japanese Americans DID serve but had to overcome obvious difficulties because of Pearl Harbor. Blacks were discriminated against under the segregationist policies of the day.

William Jefferson Clinton introduced the “don’t ask don’t tell” policy to DoD. Realistically, homosexuals have served and continue to serve. Members are not "required” to proclaim their sexual preference upon entrance. I have heard it all, “heteros are accepted and they can talk about their evenings all they want with no fear.” You know, that is true, there is usually little complaining when a hetero member discusses his/her experience the night before. The position that draws fire is that it isn’t fair that homosexuals can not freely discuss their experiences.

Frankly if all things were equal I would prefer not to hear about any exploits but I do not find a conventional pair’s exploits as disturbing. Call me what you like but male/female relationships “work”.

The Iowa is a proud ship. I have served in the U S Navy for the past twenty years and upon my enlistment the ultimate duty would have been to be assigned to one of those massive beauties.

The Iowa should be left alone rather than become a political tool for the agenda of a few deviants that would, in my humble opinion, disgrace the good ship Iowa (BB 61).

Homosexuality is not a social norm regardless of what the New York Times says and the USS Iowa should sit in mothballs rather than be a rainbow clad disgrace to all who served in her!

The Nation of Islam had it’s big “get-together” in Washington D C this past weekend.

It seems they fell a bit short of their million man goal.

Anyway, they proclaimed white America guilty of various crimes against everyone.

Ever heard anything like that? Of course you have. Everyday in America there is one group of folks that are the culprit for each and every wrong in the world. Let’s see if you can guess whom it may be.

Folks ridiculous comments of this nature are thrown around everyday. The name calling from the hate groups of the left are sort of easy to ignore since it is almost daily.

I could hardly care less what Mr. Farrakhan or Mr. Shabaz have to say about me.

They certainly are not taken seriously when they are fighting for a separate ministry of defense and essentially a separate government as well as provide reparations from the very government they refuse to recognize.

I have grown up in a world where it is OK to call me a bigot for simply disliking a type of music but because of my skin color I am oppressive and uncaring. I like to think of myself as one that despises people based on their individual achievements not their skin color or some other ridiculous criteria.

America is comprised of many people of many nationalities. Many of these folks choose a specific nationality from their lineage and choose to ignore the parts they dislike. Many receive payments from the federal government based on a purported link to a nation or tribe. It is a toss-up as to whether or not these claims are valid but if it comes down to money you can bet they will fight to provide some sort of evidence credible or not.

I fail to see the point in the association with a group or culture many times removed if one has no true sense of the true culture.

If you look around there are plenty of newly-flourishing tribes in America. Some tribes had been extinct for as many as three hundred years but suddenly after a certain state allowed for native gambling an amazing rebirth of the tribe has taken place. A story of a long gone tribe rising from the ashes to claim it’s rightful treasure from the gaming industry. Hmmmm?

Folks, I am an American. I am sure to be a mixture of any number of cultures from as many nations but I only KNOW one culture. I am an American.

I laugh at the folks around me that get almost militant when someone mentions a culture or nation in an off way. They are as American as I am but they have to defend, almost with blows, a culture they have likely only seen in movies or read about in a cheap novel.

What it really boils down to is that if you live the US and this were you were born, you are likely not going to be readily accepted in the nation that precedes the hyphen in the highly coveted ______-American.
